ECO Club
The Eco Club promotes environmental awareness, conservation, and sustainable practices among students through curricular and community activities.
About the Club
Eco Club is a voluntary student forum supported by the Department of Botany. It plans tree-plantation drives, awareness rallies, cleanliness campaigns, and observance of important environmental days — building a greener campus and greener citizens.
Objectives
- Create environmental awareness among students and the community.
- Encourage sustainable practices on and around the campus.
- Conduct conservation activities such as tree plantation and clean-up drives.
- Observe World Environment Day, Earth Day, and other green calendar days.
Activities
- Tree plantation drives during the rainy season.
- Campus cleanliness and waste-segregation campaigns.
- Awareness rallies on plastic pollution and water conservation.
- Guest lectures by environmentalists and field experts.
- Visits to nurseries, sanctuaries and eco-tourism sites.

How Students Can Join
Membership is open to all UG students of the College. Interested students may contact the Coordinator at the Department of Botany or sign up during the orientation week.
