JKC is the College’s finishing-school cell that builds employability skills — communication, soft skills, computing, and analytical ability — and connects students with placement opportunities.

About JKC

The Government of Andhra Pradesh initiated JKC in 2005 to address unemployment among students in non-professional degree courses. The centres are best utilized by students from rural areas and marginalized sections, giving them access to the latest technologies, industry-relevant skills, and placement opportunities.

JKCs are equipped with quality infrastructure and experienced mentors. The training programme focuses on communication, soft skills, analytical ability and computer skills — preparing students for the competitive global job market.

History

Jawahar Knowledge Centres are finishing schools instituted in 2005 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh to provide employment opportunities to students in Government Degree Colleges. The programme was later extended to selected private aided and unaided colleges across the state.
