About
YRC operates under the Indian Red Cross Society and engages students in humanitarian service. The Red Ribbon Club (RRC), under the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), focuses on HIV/AIDS awareness, voluntary blood donation, and reducing stigma.
Objectives
- Inculcate the values of voluntary service and humanitarian work.
- Promote regular voluntary blood donation among youth.
- Raise awareness on HIV/AIDS, prevention, and stigma reduction.
- Prepare student volunteers in basic first aid and emergency response.
Activities
- Voluntary blood-donation camps in collaboration with district blood banks.
- Awareness drives on World AIDS Day (1 December).
- First-aid training and CPR awareness sessions.
- Health and hygiene programmes in adopted villages.
- Disaster-response volunteer training.
